The field of education has not been unaffected by the penetrating influence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Undoubtedly, ICT has impacted on the quality and quantity of teaching, learning and research in educational institutions. The need to encourage professional educators to continue to involve and enrich their knowledge in the use of emerging technologies cannot be overemphasized. Much as the use of educational technology is indispensable, yet, it is bedeviled by several issues in the Nigerian education system. This paper is aimed at motivating teachers in this direction.

Key words:
Education, technology, productivity tools, information access and learning.
