Determination of dissociation constant of some pyrimidine derivatives

Some new pyrimidine derivatives have been synthesized and their structures have been confirmed by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral data. The thermodynamic dissociation constants of pyrimidine derivatives were studied in 1, 4-dioxane: water (50:50 v/v) solvent systems at different temperatures ranging from 25°C to 45°C at 10°C interval using Calvin–Bjerrum pH titration method. Further, some thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy (ΔH), Gibb’s free energy (ΔG) and entropy (ΔS) of solutions have also been evaluated at different temperatures for these systems.
